More classroom space coming to Kelowna school: B.C. Government

An addition is coming to North Glenmore Elementary School.

The B.C. Government香蕉视频直播檚 Ministry of Education and Child Care made the announcement on Wednesday morning (Nov. 29) that 120 seats in five new classrooms are being added and expected to be ready by the start of the 2024/25 school year.

香蕉视频直播淲e are expanding schools to meet the needs of our growing communities,香蕉视频直播 said Minister of Education and Child Care Rachna Singh. 香蕉视频直播淲ith record population growth, our government will continue to invest in our schools as more cities like Kelowna welcome new students to their classrooms.香蕉视频直播

This expansion can take place because of $7.5 million in funding. It will be a prefabricated addition that aligns with the province香蕉视频直播檚 CleanBC targets and meet B.C.香蕉视频直播檚 enhanced energy requirements.

Over the last six years, the provincial government has used around $177 million to create 2,220 new student seats in the Central Okanagan.
