Kelowna Royal Canadian Legion donates to food bank, needs help

Royal Canadian Legion 26 in Kelowna has donated $3,000 to the Central Okanagan Community Foodbank.

The money will be split evenly between the Kelowna and West Kelowna locations.

She said it香蕉视频直播檚 important for the Legion to give back to the community.

The Legion is also in need of some help.

香蕉视频直播淲e still need some volunteers to go out and do the poppy campaign,香蕉视频直播 Mitchell added. 香蕉视频直播淭here are certain spots where we still need volunteers.香蕉视频直播

Legion branches across the country take part in the poppy campaign and donations are held in trust at the branch level to support veterans and their families within their respective communities.

Poppies are worn every year from the last Friday in Oct. to Nov 11 by millions of Canadians.

Anyone interested in volunteering during the poppy campaign in Kelowna can call 250-762-2961.
