The Kelowna Chiefs dropped two games against the Revelstoke Grizzlies on the weekend (Oct. 20-21).

Kelowna hosted Revelstoke at Rutland Arena on Friday night.

The Grizzlies opened the scoring at 3:40 of the first period.

Kelowna tied the game at 1-1 just under 13 minutes later on a goal by Aiden Cotroneo, assisted by Matt Saretsky.

David Ander put Revelstoke up 2-1 just 26 seconds later with a power play goal.

The Grizzlies made it 3-1 at 2:12 of the second period when Hudson Scrimshaw found the back of the net.

That would be the final as there was no scoring in the third period.

Kelowna did not fare any better Saturday night in Revelstoke.

The Grizzlies Luke Aston netted a power-play goal at 8:53 of the first period.

Aiden Morcom tied the game, also on the power play, for the Chiefs at 11:16.

However, that would be all the scoring Kelowna would muster.

Aston put Revelstoke up 2-1 late in the first with a short-handed marker.

Kuy Schmirler scored on the power play at 6:56 of the second to give the Grizzlies a 3-1 lead.

With six seconds left in the third Aston scored an empty netter for his third goal of the night.

During the game, the ChiefsÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™ Lucas Alexander was involved in an on-ice collision and suffered a cut from a skate blade as well as a sprain.

He received stitches at the hospital and is looking to get back on the ice as soon as possible.

The Chiefs are currently tied for second place in the Bill Ohlhausen Division with the North Okanagan Knights with eight points.

Kelowna will host the Spokane Braves at Rutland Arena on Sat. Oct. 28.

Puck drop is 7 p.m.
