What was reported as a busy night in the Beaver Lake area of Lake Country ended with no result.
On Thursday, April 17, just after 8 p.m., BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) attended a scene of a possible vehicle crash and requested Central Okanagan Search and Rescue's (COSAR) help to find and assess the "possible medical emergency." According to COSAR, the vehicle driver was reportedly ejected from the vehicle.
However, despite a thorough search from COSAR and Vernon Search and Rescue (VSAR), neither a person nor a damaged vehicle was found.
The file was handed over to the RCMP, who also attended the scene along with the Lake Country Fire Department.
On Tuesday, April 22, RCMP confirmed nothing was found in the area.
"RCMP talked to one person in the area of the reported collision but again nothing was found that would resemble a vehicle collision," said Kelowna RCMP communications advisor Ryan Watters. "All other investigative tactics also turned up nothing."
