Lake Country council has approved major increases for development cost charges (DCCs) to build in the community.
It follows a significant review of DCCs, which hasn香蕉视频直播檛 been done since 2016.
The district previously consulted with the development industry to inform them that rates would be changing and that all new applications will be charged the new DCC rates. In stream projects will be protected if the relevant building permit has been issued within one year of the DCC bylaw adoption.
Under the new rates developers will pay $47,246 per single detached home, $35,187 for each multi-family home, and between $130 and $138 per square metre for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings.
Councillor Michael Lewis was the lone vote against approving the new rates.
