City council was unanimous in its support of a liquor licence for the Royal Canadian Legion香蕉视频直播檚 new home.

The Legion香蕉视频直播檚 (Branch 26) former home at 1380 Bertram Street was at the corner of St. Paul St. and Doyle Avenue. The Legion applied to increase its capacity from 156 to 213 people at Monday香蕉视频直播檚 (Mar. 3) council meeting.

In response to potential neighbourhood concerns, the Legion has put together a noise mitigation plan.

It is making sure its new building has sound-reducing windows and will limit the use of outdoor spaces late at night, and control the noise levels of events. The Legion has also encouraged residents to reach out with any questions or concerns, either directly to them or the city.

While council has given its approval, the licence application now goes to the provincial Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch for final approval.
