Jake Worthington to warm up the 'Honky Tonk Crowd' ahead of Riley Green in Kelowna

Jake Worthington is opening for Riley Green on the Damn Country Music Tour.

Texas native Jake Worthington is excited to play his first show in Kelowna, opening for Riley Green at Prospera Place. 

"I know Canada loves country music," Worthington expressed his excitement to play a few shows in the country. "I can't wait to get up there and make some honky tonk sounds for you."

Worthington joined the country music scene after being a finalist on The Voice in 2014 with his old school country twang. 

"There's nothing else I know how to do and I'm just grateful that there's folks out there that want to hear country music the way that we make it."

Green and Worthington stop in Kelowna on Mar. 28 as part of the . 

When asked what concert goers can expect from the rising artist, Worthington said, "Dim lights, big smoke, and loud, loud country music."

He teased that attendees will hear some of his new music he's recording. "We might even pull something for the set that is brand, brand new."

Touring with Green through 2025 is the singer's first run through Canada. Also on the tour is Ella Langley and Erik Dylan.
