As part of the Junior Coyotes Program we run a program that had 14 club teams this past spring season.
Ranging from U12 to U18, both boys and girls, we are incredibly proud of all our athletes for an outstanding season. As we gear up for a final tournament this season, we would like to shed light on some highlights from this season.
We had several teams with multiple tournament wins including U12 Boys, U13 Boys Black team, U15 Boys, U14 Girls, and U18 Girls competing in the Okanagan and Lower Mainland.
The U18 Girls team featured multiple university-committed athletes. These included Sarah Liticro (University of Toronto) and Jada Burden, Faith Hunter, Ayla Mulleny and Asia Borg (Okanagan College).
The U13 Boys Black team had several big wins against teams from older age groups, and a strong showing in Spokane in the May Madness tournament. The U12 Boys team earned tournament wins with Brody Miller and Leif Shuttleworth taking MVP awards.
The second annual OC Summer Showdown Tournament took place this year. Expanding from the previous year, the tournament featured two weekends with over 100 teams, making it the largest youth basketball tournament in the Okanagan.
We are thrilled to offer the opportunity for teams to travel to and play in Kelowna and are already gearing up for another successful tournament next summer.
One of our OC women香蕉视频直播檚 players, Ali Martineau, ran a camp for kids with developmental delays. Through the Everyone Can Play camp, Ali and OC basketball players offered a fun environment for children, with developmental games to learn new basketball skills. We hope to continue this initiative and offer a place for all kids to learn and grow. A huge shout out to Ali for opening up this space for young players to have fun and enjoy the game of basketball.
Aside from club teams, we also run a 3-on-3 and Micro Ballers program. Running once a week, Micro Ballers offers a space for kids under Grade 1 to learn the basics of basketball and have fun on the court.
The 3- on-3 program offers a competitive learning environment for young athletes Grade 1 and up. A mix of skills and games allows players to learn the technical side of the game and apply it in each session.
We are excited to be offering camps throughout the summer. All information and registration can be found on the .
