Jordan Dubyna found his love of country through a scratchy radio and his family香蕉视频直播檚 church.

He could relate to the songs, he said, as they revolved around working hard and living in the bush.

From Armstrong, the guitarist/vocalist is competing Aug. 2 to open for Brent Kissel and The Band Perry as part of the newly-formed Lost n Found at this year香蕉视频直播檚 Road to Rockin香蕉视频直播� River Music Fest.

The members of the country band香蕉视频直播攏ow based in Kelowna香蕉视频直播攎et on opposite sides of the same competition last year in Merritt.

Together they formed Lost n Found, which consists of Dubyna, guitarist/vocalist Mitch Glanz, mandolin player Zach Glanz, bassist Andrew Glanz and drummer AJ Carlson. The band will face off against 11 other contestants at the contest in Merritt.

Their first show together was at the Lumby Barn dance in April and they nailed their setlist, he said.

The Glanz brothers come from a large Kelowna family in which Dubyna can relate to with his own family. They also learned music from singing in the choir and being involved with the church in their childhood.

Their childhood香蕉视频直播檚 also influence their lyrics, he added. Dubyna writes about the struggle of being a Christian kid as well as about heartbreak and lost love.

He loves sitting down and creating music with the band.

香蕉视频直播淵ou know when you香蕉视频直播檙e with good musicians when you can go into a room and sit down with a song and everyone by ear, sits down and plays it and adds their little spice to it,香蕉视频直播� he said.

The band will also play a Thursday at the Ok Corral in order to help wildfire evacuees.
