Okanagan Humane Society is wishing the community, supporters, veterinarian partners, volunteers and rescuers a happy new year.

This past year has been one of the busiest for the charity, that helps to rescue and rehome animals from Osoyoos to the Shuswap. 

By the end of 2024, OHS will have helped more than 4,000 animals, with rescue and emergency medical cases continuing to pour in every single day.

Moving forward into 2025, OHS is looking for more volunteers, anyone who is able to foster, rescue or help care for an animal in need is asked to reach out to .

For those looking to give monetarily the Angels for Animals annual match campaign runs until Dec. 31.

For each $25,000 donated by the community, a match of $25,000 will be added by generous donors, to equal a total of $300,000 for animals in need.
