Lemonade stand raises $3k for Penticton hospital project

A South Okanagan girl set up a stand selling lemonade and handmade bracelets to help raise funds for the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation.

Lyla Curran set up the stand with proceeds to help the medical foundation香蕉视频直播檚 $10 million goal to expand the oncology clinic.

Her grandmother, Pat Currie, provided space for the venue outside her store, Three Wishes Clothing Boutique on Main Street in Penticton.

The fundraiser brought in more than $3,000.

Lissette Little, director of development for the medical foundation, said it is heartening to see a young person so dedicated to raising funds for health care.
