Kelowna artists celebrating 18 years of 'art by the lake'

Art by the Lake Show and Sale takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday

The Mission Painters celebrate their 18th Art by the Lake Show and Sale on July 6-7 at the Sarsons Activity Centre.

After five years of negotiation with the City of Kelowna, council recently voted to keep the centre which has been used by the Okanagan Mission Senior Society (OMSS) and the community since 1973.

The Mission Painters, all members of the OMSS ages 55 to 93, are busy producing a variety of works this year from local scenes to contemporary abstracts.

The Art by the Lake Show and Sale takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and includes door prizes.
