On average the cost to rescue one animal for the organization is $300, and given OHS has upwards of 220 pets in care, that bill can tally close to $66,000.
OHS is encouraging all animal lovers who want to support the work the society is doing to attend its event on June 15.
Plus, there will be a Kitten Kissing Booth and an opportunity to meet the animals who have been given a second chance thanks to OHS, volunteers, donors and folks who feel pets deserve the best.
