Bass guitarist Herbie Flowers, who played with David Bowie, Elton John, Lou Reed and other music legends in a decades-long career, has died at 86.

The musician香蕉视频直播檚 family confirmed his death on Facebook Saturday.

Flowers was a founding member of the pop group Blue Mink, who later joined the rock band T Rex. He won acclaim for his work with many of the biggest names in U.K. music in the 1970s, giving Reed香蕉视频直播檚香蕉视频直播淲alk On The Wild Side,香蕉视频直播� from the 1972 香蕉视频直播淭ransformer香蕉视频直播� album, its recognizable twinned bassline.

He also played bass for Bowie香蕉视频直播檚香蕉视频直播淪pace Oddity,香蕉视频直播� Bryan Ferry香蕉视频直播檚香蕉视频直播淭he Bride Stripped Bare,香蕉视频直播� and Paul McCartney香蕉视频直播檚香蕉视频直播淕ive My Regards To Broad Street,香蕉视频直播� and featured in two of John香蕉视频直播檚 early 香蕉视频直播�70s albums, among many others.

In a tribute, Bowie香蕉视频直播檚 estate said 香蕉视频直播渉is work with Bowie and associates over the years is too long to list here.香蕉视频直播�

香蕉视频直播淎side from his incredible musicianship over many decades, he was a beautiful soul and a very funny man. He will be sorely missed,香蕉视频直播� it said.

Tim Burgess, lead singer for The Charlatans singer, said on the social media platform X that Flowers 香蕉视频直播渕ade the greats sound greater.香蕉视频直播�

Flowers also founded the instrumental rock band Sky in the late 1970s, releasing seven albums.
