Owen Thomas has been traded to the Langley Riverman for future considerations.

The West Kelowna Warriors have made their first move ahead of Monday's trade deadline.

On Friday, Feb. 7, the team announced it traded 2005-born defenceman Owen Thomas to the Langley Rivermen in exchange for future considerations.

The off-season acquisition didn't make his Warriors debut until January because of injury. He didn't record a point in four games for West Kelowna.

He is committed to Providence College for the fall.

The BCHL's trade deadline is on Monday, Feb. 10.
