The West Kelowna Warriors will try to dig out of an early season B.C. Hockey League slump when they battle the Salmon Arm Silverbacks this weekend in a home-and-home set.
The Interior Division rivals will face off Friday at the Shaw Centre, before returning to Royal LePage Place Saturday for the rematch. Face off Saturday in West Kelowna between the Warriors' is 7 p.m.
The defending RBC Cup champion Warriors (5-5-0) have lost four of their last five games, scoring just eight goals in the process.
Three of those came in a 5-3 home-ice loss to the Silverbacks on Friday night.
On Saturday at Royal LePage Place, the Warriors came up short again in a 3-2 loss to the Okanagan rival Vernon Vipers.
Former Okanagan Rockets goaltender Cole Demers stymied the Warriors with a 41-save performance in the Vernon net.
Forward Braiden Epp scored both goals for West Kelowna, his first two since being acquired earlier this month from the Prince George Spruce Kings.
