At the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club, thousands of riders using 150 kilometres of back-country trails make a sizable footprint in vulnerable caribou habitat.
Though relying on large numbers of noise-producing and carbon-emitting vehicles, the club has taken steps over the years to lessen that footprint, from prioritizing waste removal and woodland maintenance, to investing in its first electric, zero-emissions snowmobile.
