Some of the NHL's top prospects are coming back to Penticton in 2024.

The Vancouver Canucks' Young Stars Classic -- which also features players from the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets -- returns to the South Okanagan Events Centre from Sept. 13 to 16, B.C.'s team announced Thursday, June 6.

Marking the 11th edition of the pre-season tournament, this year's event will once again welcome prospects from Western Canadian NHL teams for a six-game, round-robin showcase.

"We are excited to be heading back to Penticton this fall to participate in this great," said Canucks general manager Patrick Allvin in a press release. "This will be an opportunity for some of our top prospects to work with Manny Malhotra (Abbotsford Canucks head coach) in a very competitive environment."

In previous years, the tournament has featured players like Connor McDavid, Bo Horvat and Thatcher Demko, among others.

"We look forward to seeing Jonathan Lekkerimäki, Elias Pettersson, Ty Mueller and Ty Young compete in the this tournament," Alvis said, referencing the Canucks' top prospects of today.

A full schedule for the tournament and ticketing information is expected to be released soon, the Canucks said Thursday.
