The UBC Okanagan (UBCO) Heat men's golf team finished sixth in the team standings as they opened their season at the RMC Intercollegiate at Lake Las Vegas, an NAIA tournament held at Reflection Bay Golf Club on Mar 4-5.

The team finished 13 strokes outside the top five with 34 birdies across the two-day, three-round tournament. 

Leading the way in the individual standings was rookie Thomas Lemay who shot a 10-over par 216, and third-year Andrew Rouble who scored 13-over. Both players finished in the top-20. First-year David Ursu (Markham, Ont.) made his tournament debut for the Heat finishing in 41st place.

The Heat next play at the Maverick Desert Classic at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona March 10-11.
