On the provincial stage, Emma Cannan didn香蕉视频直播檛 look a bit out of place.
In fact, the Grade 8 student from Dr. Knox Middle School thrived on the challenge of competing at the B.C. High School Track and Field Championships.
Last weekend in Langley, Cannan won gold medals in the Grade 8 girls 200 and 400 metre events, and added a silver in the 100 metres.
Cannan香蕉视频直播檚 time of 25.72 seconds in the 200 was 42/100 better than runner-up Tara Wallack of Semiamhoo.
In the 400, she clocked in at 59.16, .81 of a second ahead of Burnaby香蕉视频直播檚 Heather Vorell.
In the 100, Cannan narrowly missed coming home with a third gold medal as she was egded out by just 2/100 of second in a time of 12.76.
