The Devils pushed their league-best record to 9-1 on Saturday with a sweep of the hometown Vernon Canadians.
In Game 1, Kelowna rapped out 17 hits in an 11-7 victory. Noah Ringness-Law led the way offensively, going 4-for-5 with a triple and two stolen bases. Kurtis Wall went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs.
Starting pitcher Gavin Barrett picked up the win, striking out three and allowing four earned runs. Nathan Ringness-Law struck out the side in the seventh to pick up the save.
In Game 2, Nathan Ringness-Law had a monster game with four hits, three RBIs and seven stolen bases. Matthew Fuchs and Spencer Klassen each chipped in two hits and two RBIs.
Rookie Dreyton Nelmes took to the mound and went five strong innings despite the seven errors committed by the defense.
The Sun Devils and Canadians will meet again this coming weekend.
The clubs will play a doubleheader Saturday at Edith Gay Park at 1 and 4 p.m.
