The Rutland Voodoo are turning heads across the British Columbia football world.
After starting the season with a 1-0 record after a 26-0 win against Terry Fox Secondary School, the Voodoo were ranked ninth in the varsity AAA BC High School Football rankings.
In week two, the Voodoo took on the fourth-ranked Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary School and took care of them easily, winning 42-14 at the Apple Bowl in Kelowna on Friday, Oct. 6.
Through two games this season, quarterback Ty Walker is 15/29 for 292 yards, while throwing four touchdowns and one interception. He has also rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns.
Running back Parker Scott has also found the endzone twice this season.
Wide receiver Liam O香蕉视频直播橣lynn has been Walker香蕉视频直播檚 go-to target, owning seven receptions to his name for three touchdowns and 165 yards.
Maybe the most impressive part of the Voodoo香蕉视频直播檚 season so far, is that they have not yet punted in two games.
With the win, the Rutland secondary school football team jumped up to the fourth-ranked team in the province.
Next up is the battle of Kelowna, with the Voodoo set to battle Kelowna Secondary (1-1) at the Apple Bowl on Saturday, Oct. 14. Kick-off is at 6:30 p.m.
