The Kelowna Raiders will be looking to bounce back this week after suffering their most lopsided setback of the Thompson Okanagan Senior Lacrosse League season.
On Friday at Memorial Arena, the Raiders slipped to 1-5 on the year with a decisive 20-6 loss to the Armstrong Shamrocks.
Despite a solid effort by KelownaÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s two goaltenders, Graham Cousins and Tanner Belsham (48 combined shots), Kelowna was unable to contend with the offensive power of the Shamrock forwards.
The Shamrocks controlled the ball at both ends of the floor, while the Raiders struggled to muster any sustained offense.
Brett Hawreys and Kyle Versteeg paced ArmstrongÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s attack with four goals each.
For Kelowna, Cody Evans, Victor Wiens, Ryan Lindstrom, Joe Brown, Pho Heng and Mitch Brodt each scored single goals.
The Raiders return to action this Friday night when they visit the Kamloops Rattlers.
The RaidersÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™ next home action is Sunday, June 18 at Rutland Arena against Kamloops.
