26 teams will be off to the outhouse races on March 2 at 1 p.m. at Centennial Park in Revelstoke.

The event will be hosted by Stoke FM and will feature five people per team. One teammate will have to remain seated throughout the race.

While Stoke FM Executive Director, Scott Larlee, wouldnÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™t reveal the names of the registered teams, he did say that they received some creative names. One can only hope that these inventive names will lead to similarly innovative (as encouraged) outhouses.

Spectators will have more than enough time to check out the outhousesÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™ designs as the event will begin with them lined up on display. When it comes to the race, the current plan is for the outhouses to square off one-on-one, which will give onlookers plenty of chances to cheer for their favourite outhouses.

As for the lack of snow that Revelstoke is experiencing, the contingency plan is to truck in snow.

Racers will be faced with a slight incline that will put their designs to the test. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be honored, as well as a spirit prize.

Stoke FM will be broadcasting the event live.
