The Kelowna Rockets didn't waste time in getting the upper hand on the Tri-City Americans.
The Rockets scored four times in the game's first five minutes en route to a Friday at Prospera Place.
Jake Kryski, Riley Stadel, Nolan Foote and Calvin Thurkauf scored in a 4:25 span to send the Rockets (5-7-0) to their second straight win.
"It's nice to finally show up in the first period and be rewarded," Rockets assistant coach Kris Mallette told AM 1150's Regan Bartel. "Four goals in that short a span, two in under a minute really bodes well for our team. You could feel the energy on the bench."
Michael Herringer earned the win in net as Kelowna outshot Tri-City 41-20.
Herringer improves to 5-4-0-0 on the year.
Calvin Thurkauf was the games first star recording a goal as well as finishing the night with a +2 rating.
The Rockets will be in Kent, WA Saturday night to take on the Seattle Thunderbirds.
