The junior women's division of the Kelowna Skating Club dazzled at the BC and Yukon Sectional Championships and are off the to the nationals.
Held in Parksville from Nov. 9-10, the sectionals serve as the provincials and also as a qualifier to make the BC and Yukon team.
Gabrielle Jugnauth, 16, led the team by capturing the junior women香蕉视频直播檚 title and artistic award with a clean free skate. She earned her best score of the season with 138.82 points. Jugnauth also finished fifth in the short program.
Calissa Adlem won the bronze medal with 121.26 points, while Konstantina Lock finished 4th overall with a score of 116.33.
All three of them have qualified for the Skate Canada Junior and Senior Challenge in Winnipeg in December.
Emily Sears is also off to the nationals after finishing fourth in the women's event.
At the novice level, Isabella Vigil Keller qualified for the BC and Yukon team after third in the free skate, eighth in the short program, and fifth overall with 96.37 points. She also earned the artistic award.
Christiana Lock and Sophie Sanderson finished 8th and 10th in the novice level, with featured 24 skaters.
Olivia Waters won gold in group one of pre-juvenile division under 13 with 26.03 points. Rebekah Vader finished 6th in group two.
At the pre-novice level, Sophie Clark and Sydney Price finished 13th and 18th.
