The Kelowna Rockets' goal-scoring woes continued Saturday night in a 5-1 loss the Swift Current Broncos in WHL action at Prospera Place.
Tomas Soustal had the lone marker for the Rockets, who have lost three straight and have scored just four goals in their last four games.
Penalties cost the Rockets, as Swift Current scored three times on the power play, including twice in the second period to build up a 3-0 lead.
"Obviously we're disappointed, we take penalty after penalty and it takes away from any momentum we're creating in the game," said Rockets head coach Jason Smith.
"At this point you think we would have learned a lesson. You give a team too many power plays you're going to give up goals. We will learn that lesson now, I hope."
Swift Current outshot Kelowna 30-27 as Michael Herringer took the loss in net.
The Rockets continue their current homestand Wednesday night against the Everett Silvertips.
Face off at Prospera Place is 7:05 p.m.
