Rugby BC announced their coaching staffs for the 2024 season and they feature a couple of Kelowna connections.
On Tuesday, Jan. 16, Rugby BC announced the coaches who will take the reigns for the age-grade U19, U18 and U16 boys and girls XVs programs and girls and boys 7s Programs for 2024. They follow in the footsteps of the 2023 season in which the organization brought home three championship victories, a silver medal at the 2023 Western Canadian Championships and an impressive showing at the 2023 Global Youth Sevens in Australia.
Dan Haynes from UBC Okanagan has been named an assistant coach for U19 menÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s team while Kelowna Secondary SchoolÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s Leana Marton has been appointed head coach of the U16 boys squad.
These teams will represent the province in their age group throughout the year.
