To the editor:
Why should I vote?
Our last provincial election was a dismal 55 per cent on/or about turnout of eligible voters. The Liberals won this election with about 38 per cent of the 55 per cent of voters. That works out to about 21 per cent of eligible voters. With the 21 per cent the Liberals actually have a majority (dictatorship really). We still continue to label this a democracy? Why do we hire so many MLAs to serve us in Victoria, when so few seem to run the show and make all the decisions? I won香蕉视频直播檛 hire 10 people to dig my garden and have eight of them standing about leaning on their shovel香蕉视频直播攏either would I expect that in Victoria.
So, we see, 45 per cent of eligible voters will sit on their hands watching a hockey game or play with their phone, because they will also say 香蕉视频直播渨ell, what does my vote count?香蕉视频直播 Many other countries are in turmoil due to their lack of concern about who and what happens in their government.
Oh, we hear so much complaining about the government but your vote or lack of allowed the present party to form a majority with 21 per cent of the eligible vote. We can thus call ourselves the 21 per cent majority. Please vote the way you want, but do vote, 21 per cent is a disgrace in a democracy.
