To the editor:
Should the advocacy groups being formed by Kelowna citizens be successful in going to court over the city香蕉视频直播檚 questionable ease of rezoning public parkland, the earlier public outrage over the fate of Cedar Avenue Park should be included to add heat to that fire.
The former mayor and crew very effectively sabotaged the completion of that park and even denied its park status (even though) it was bought very specifically for a future public park. As a result of their expert manipulations that beautiful thousand-odd feet of scenic bay at the foot of KLO road now sits in dangerous limbo with a present like-minded council.
The city has now paid for another beautiful lakeshore acreage for a future public park香蕉视频直播攖he same wordage as in that Cedar Avenue agreement and coincidently, the same wonderful sites for possible hotels, condos and high rises as does Cedar Avenue.
If we continue to elect councils with the same lack of public regard for us and our public parks we香蕉视频直播檒l continue more years of winless arguments. We have to do better.
