To the editor:
Kudos to Bob Harris whose letter 香蕉视频直播淟aws need to be stricter for drug traffickers香蕉视频直播 appeared in your Friday, Jan. 4, edition. He is right there is no deterrent for drug dealers and their users in this city, all we see is enabling.
By now people will be aware of the city香蕉视频直播檚 project 香蕉视频直播淭he Journey Home香蕉视频直播 planned in conjunction with the John Howard Society whose sole purpose appears to be to provide housing to addicts and the mentally ill, whilst apparently supplying the drugs that feed their habits.
They are now planning to put supportive housing for these individuals at 2025 Agassiz Road, without any consultation or consideration for the existing residents, many of whom are elderly. The city is very aware that Barlee Park and the community garden, which borders our neighbourhood, was plagued by the homeless and their aberrant behaviour, during the summer of 2017 and into early 2018, but they appear to have no qualms about planning to put these people right back into our back yard. And, in the meantime, it is purported that 6,000 seniors are on the waiting list for affordable housing. What madness is this?
