1939-2020 ~ It is with sadness we announce the passing of Jack Hatanaka on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at the age of 80 years. Jack is survived by his mother Sugio Hatanaka; his loving wife of 55 years, Margie; children: Randy (Lesley), Sheri (Tom) Phu, Danny (Nanci Bellamy); grandchildren: Ryan and Eric Hatanaka, Tamara and Nathan Phu; brother Bob (Helene) Hatanaka; sister Michi (Francis) Ono; as well as by extended family and friends.
Jack worked at Kelowna Chrysler for most of his career and at retirement he was able to fully enjoy his love of hunting, fishing, golfing and curling. Jack will be missed and lovingly remembered.
Due to the uncertain circumstances within our community right now, there will be a public service held in June 2020. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jack's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, www.heartandstroke.ca.
