Having lived a long and happy life, Rose passed away peacefully on Friday, April 23, 2021, at the age of 90.
Rose was predeceased by her loving husband, Ted (2008), sister Adele Sawchyn (2015), brothers Nick Koshman (1988) and Walter Koshman (2019), brother-in-law Walter Windjack (2016), and son-in-law Paul MacNeill (2007).
Rose is survived by her children, Debra and Gil (Mary), grandchildren, Katrina (Chad), David, Daniel and Declan, brothers Johnny and Morris and sister Jeannette (Doug).
Rose was born in Insinger, SK to Wasyl and Mary (Rusnak) Koshman on June 18, 1930. Upon completing high school Rose began work at Theodore General Hospital as a medical assistant. There is where she met the love of her life and lifelong partner, Ted at a local country dance. They were married in 1951.
In 1956 they moved to Winnipeg, MB where Ted taught high school and Rose began a 36-year career at MTS. Upon retirement, Ted and Rose moved to Kelowna, BC. In 2015, Rose moved across the street to Westwood Retirement Resort.
Rose's passion was to entertain family and friends. Rose and Ted travelled extensively and enjoyed many beautiful adventures. Rose will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who knew her.
At Rose's request, there will be no service. Arrangements through Springfield Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
