Dick passed away peacefully at the North Island and District Hospital - Comox Valley Campus following a short infection.
He was predeceased by his son Darrell. Leaving behind his wife Joy, son Randy, daughter Deanna as well as three grandsons, Ryan, Brandon and Adam and great-grandson Nolan.
Dick had a great life! He was with Search and Rescue for 33 years and then opened Rick's Music and Stereo (Radio Shack) on Cliff. When he retired, he lost his sight but did not let that slow him down. He RVed, had a boat, and travelled all over Europe and Mexico. He always kept his sense of humour and always had a glass of red wine, which all our friends enjoyed. In his last years, he was in Comox Valley Seniors Home which treated him well. A special thanks to the staff on the third floor for their care. No service, as requested.
