It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Mieko Kawano announce her passing on September 11th, 2018.

She will be lovingly remembered by her family:Amy, Don (Linda),Roger (Nikki), Roy, Barbara (Terry), Mona (Howard) and Ellen (Gordon). Sisters Margaret Yamamoto and Jane Wakita. Forever missed by Grandchildren: Eiko, Jamie (Margaret), Elysse, Hannah and 2 Great Grandchildren Charlie, Reiden and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Kuzio and Ikue Kobayashi, husband Melvan, brothers Matt, Kietchi and sister Florence.

A family burial will be held at the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery next to dad.

A Celebration of Life will be held for mom on October 6th, at 12pm at First Memorial Funeral Home, 1211 Sutherland Ave.
