With heavy hearts the family of Mike Saukarookoff announce his passing in the early hours of April 22, 2019 at the age of 85.

Mike was born in Castlegar, BC on November 18, 1933.

He had a successful career servicing and repairing electric motors; he owned Mike's Electric in Calgary for many years until moving to Kelowna where he started his business, and operated Mike's Electric until he retired.

He will be sadly missed and remembered by his loving wife of 62 years Margaret, his children, Darryl, Randy (Wendy), Sherri and Kevin, his 5 grandsons, Justin, Taylor, Brydon, Eric and Steven. Also survived by his brothers Alec (Ann) Saukarookoff and Sid (Barbara) Saukarookoff, predeceased by his parents Fred and Helen and sister Eunice.

Mike enjoyed looking after his vegetable garden, and salmon fishing years ago on Vancouver Island during family vacations.

Thank you to Dr. Erasmus and staff, and to the kind and caring staff at Cottonwoods for your compassion shown to Mike and his family during his short stay. There will be no formal service by request, in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mike's memory to the "Advanced Heart Rhythm Services" c/o KGH Foundation, 2268 Pandosy Street Kelowna, BC V1Y 1T2.
