Born in Pierceland, Sask., Leona passed away at the Boundary Hospital in Grand Forks, BC., age 75. Remembered by her life partner, Jerry Johnston (Grand Forks); sister Audrey Gleason (Kelowna); brothers Dan Uhl (Kelowna), Ray (Irene) Uhl (Comox), Bernie Uhl (Kelowna); nieces Sandra, Kym, Brenda and Dana; nephews Jamie and Derek.They will miss their "Nonie". Predeceased by her parents Henry and Helen Uhl, sister Joyce Melissen, sister-in-law Mavis Uhl and nephew Rick Gleason.

A celebration of life and interment of the ashes will be held at a later date in Kelowna. Memorial donations may be made to BCSPCA, 3785 Casorso Rd.Kelowna, BC V1W 4M7.
