DUKE, KATHLEEN RUTH
Kathleen Duke passed away on March 23rd, 2016 in Kelowna, British Columbia. Kathleen was born in Berkshire, England on May 4, 1920, twenty minutes after her twin sister, Elizabeth. During her
sixty-three year marriage to Scotsman Archibald [Archie] Duke, she lived in three countries: England (Longcross, Surrey and Wantage, Berkshire), Scotland (Dundee, Angus), and Canada (Brandon, Manitoba, Keewatin, Ontario, and Kelowna, British Columbia). Kathleen was predeceased by her son Ronald in 1963 and her husband Archie in 2005. She is survived by her son Peter (Justina) and daughter Irene [Renee]; grandchildren Bryan (Lynnel), Braden, and Richard; great-grandchildren Layla and Cohyn; two sisters, Betty and Hilda; and numerous nephews and nieces, and great nephews/nieces. Kathleen was an active member of the CCF (later the NDP Party), The Voice of Women, and the Afternoon ACW Branch of St. Michael
& All Angels Anglican Cathedral. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at
St. Michael & All Angels Anglican Church, 608 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna.
