In loving memory of Jacobus (Jack) Adrianus Andrew, 97.
Jack was born in Whitby, Ontario on July 31, 1918
and passed away peacefully at Village of Smith Creek
Residential Home on June 1, 2016.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Helen Irene Andrew, his 2 daughters, Gail Moll of Victoria BC, and Brenda
Demers (Mick) of Sudbury Ontario. In addition he is also survived by his 4 grandchildren, David Demers, Stacey
Odgers, Katherina Whipple, and Pamela Moll, his great grandchildren Ashlyin and Keegan Whipple, and Matthew and Joshua Odgers as well as his nephew Bruce Stor and niece Jacqueline Leslie. He is predeceased by his sister, Wilhelmina Stor
Jack joined the RCMP in 1941, serving his 28 years in the Rockcliff training centre, Peace River area of Alberta, and various detachments in Nova Scotia, before moving to
Ottawa Headquarters until his retirement as Staff Sargent
in 1969.
After moving to Kelowna, he worked for The Employment
Insurance for over 25 years. He enjoyed camping and
fishing in the local small lakes around the Okanagan
area and listening to the call of the loons. He also
enjoyed travelling across Canada to visit family.
