In loving memory~
In loving memory and with deep sadness we said goodbye to George on April 16, 2023, at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, with his family by his side. George was 69 years old. He was predeceased by his parents Eldon and Elinor and brother Andy.
George will be missed by his wife Jan, three stepchildren, four grandchildren, sister-in-law Debbie, brothers-in-law Fred (Lisa), Paul (Catia), Chris and Ken; his nephews Andrew and Jordan, nieces Geriann, Alisha, Lauren and Lisa.
George was an Economist. George's career was initially spent teaching at the University of Calgary, he went on to Customer Service and Regulatory work for West Kootenay Power/ FortisBC for 25 years, completing his working years contracting to the Utilities Commission of BC.
George travelled the world, loved his family and friends, get-togethers, his dogs and was a dedicated gardener well known for his tomatoes. We all looked forward to his August tomato sandwiches; he would take great pride in selecting just the right one. George felt very blessed to be papa to his grandkids. He loved the summer visits, and enjoyed time on the beach of the Columbia River with family and friends.
George passed away on his wedding anniversary. He will be greatly missed.
