April 16, 1924 - June 7, 2020
On June 7, 2020 Doreign Bergen (Hall) passed away at the Bulkley Lodge in Smithers, BC.
Doreign was born April 16, 1924 in Wrinch Memorial Hospital in Hazelton, BC and was raised on the family farm at Topley, BC. With the coming of the Second World War she enlisted with the Canadian Armed Forces and drove trucks and chaperoned Generals as a part of the war effort.
After the War she married Jack Bergen and they made their home in Prince Rupert, BC. Doreign worked for Woolworth Stores, the Ministry of Forests and Canada Post before retiring. She and Jack retired to Westbank, BC and to Arizona where they spent much time with friends, family and enjoying the sun.
Doreign was very active in the Kelowna Order of Eastern Star and over 62 years of membership rose to a high-ranking position. She was very proud of the community services that she helped to provide.
Doreign is survived by her son Wallace and daughter-in-law Wendy; grandchildren Rhaina Bergen and Kordell Bergen and granddaughter-in-law Kelsey; great-grandchildren Ava, Hayden, Leah, Tyler and Jacob.

Doreign's ashes will be scattered at the family recreational lot at Horsefly, BC, with her husband Jack's.
