West Kelowna RCMP are asking the public to remain vigilant and report all suspicious persons, vehicle and activities to police following yet another attack against a West Kelowna restaurant.

On Friday, at 5:11 am, West Kelowna RCMP responded to a commercial glass break alarm at Thai Fusion Restaurant located at 3041 Louie Drive in West Kelowna. Officers arrived on scene within minutes of receiving the alarm call to discover what appeared to be bullet holes in the protective metal window shutters at the front of the business.

Police say their believe it was a targeted attack on the restaurant, which has a history of having its windows smashed, bullets fired at it and even arson attempts.

During the early morning hours of May 28, West Kelowna RCMP say they responded to a similar complaint of mischief at the business, where restaurant staff discovered damage believed at the time to also be bullet holes in the metal shutters.

Given the history at that location, where the Thai business has been the subject of five separate complaints of mischief and a break and enter to commit arson, the RCMP is now investigating. The investigators are being supported by the Kelowna RCMP forensic identifications section, which spent time gathering evidence from the scene Friday.
