Weapons complaint prompts Vernon RCMP response at Tiki Village

Vernon RCMP made an arrest after a weapons complaint on Sunday morning (Dec. 15).

At approximately 10:40 a.m., Vernon police responded after a complaint of a gun at the Tiki Village Motel (2408 34th St). 

Upon arrival, police found two of three persons involved in an altercation, and one was arrested for possession of a pellet gun. The individual was later released without charge.

The third person of interest was identified and located a short distance away. 

"No injuries were reported by those involved, " said Cpl. Tania Finn, Vernon North Okanagan RCMP media relations officer. "None of the parties wished to cooperate with the investigation."
