UPDATE: Winter storm warnings for Coquihalla, Highway 3 come to an end

The winter storm warnings have come to an end for the Coquihalla Highway and Highway 3.

Environment Canada ended the alerts at 10:54 a.m.

Winter storm warnings are in effect for the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt and Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton on Wednesday, Jan. 10.

Both stretches of highway are expecting 5-10 cm of snow throughout the day, however, because of an approaching Arctic front and a low pressure system, the Coquihalla could experience an additional 10-15 cm of Wednesday night.
