Two vehicles were impounded in one night for excessive speeding on the Trans-Canada Highway in Malakwa.
The first arrest took place about 9 p.m. on Friday, May 26, when Sicamous RCMP observed two eastbound vehicles travelling 香蕉视频直播渨ell above香蕉视频直播 the speed limit of 100 km/h, reported Sgt. Murray McNeil.
The faster of the two vehicles was clocked on radar at 155 km/h.
The Alberta-registered SUV was then pulled over and the driver was issued a $368 ticket for exceeding the speed limit by more than 40 km/h. The vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Just two hours later, about 11 p.m. on May 26, another eastbound vehicle was spotted speeding excessively on Highway 1 in Malakwa.
Radar provided a reading of 151 km/h in the 100 km/h zone. The Alberta-registered vehicle was stopped and impounded for seven days and the driver issued a $368 ticket.
Sgt. McNeil noted the vehicle was the subject of a driving complaint from Kamloops early that evening for not staying in its proper lane.
