Any motorists planning to take the Trans-Canada Highway through the Rockies this Thursday should be advised that 15.4 kilometres of the route will close that morning between Sicamous and Revelstoke.
Blasting work will shutter Highway 1 both ways between Griffin Lake Avalanche Gate and Clanwilliam Bridge from 10 a.m. to noon on May 1, according to DriveBC.
It doesn't say whether a detour will be available. Any further updates are expected once the closure ends at 12 p.m. Thursday.
