Residents can make the most out of the spring sweep by moving vehicles off the road as well as any other items that could impede street sweepers such as basketball hoops. Sweeping sand and debris from sidewalks and boulevards into the gutters is also helpful for a clean sweep.
Signs will be placed at least 24 hours before the area is scheduled to be swept. Signs may be up longer depending on weather and available sweepers.
Sweepers will be operating 20 hours a day and working to clean up a total of 1,600 kilometres of roadways and bike lanes with anticipated completion by mid-May, weather permitting.
Residents are also advised that crews are out patching potholes. Highway 97 and 33 are maintained by Ministry of Transportation and residents can report potholes and other highway problems at
