A vehicle was swept away in an avalanche at Big White Ski Resort near Kelowna on March 16.

In a post to social media, the resort said an avalanche was triggered by a skier around 11:30 a.m. The avalanche was out of bounds in the Eco Bowl behind the Falcon Chair.

No one was injured, but Big White is using the opportunity to remind individuals to stay within marked zones.

The avalanche risk at the mountain remains high at this time.
