A prolific offender in Penticton who was recently released in the fall of 2024 is back in custody after being caught with a 3D-printed firearm.
A press release from the RCMP announced the arrest of 33-year-old Seamus Kirby on outstanding warrants.
During his Jan. 14 arrest, officers discovered the firearm in his possession.
Kirby has since been charged with possession of a firearm while under a firearm ban and possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm and is being kept in custody until he appears in court.

Kirby has been through the courts constantly, with dozens of previous convictions, including robbery, driving dangerously, possessing a loaded and prohibited firearm and at least 20 breaches of conditions.
In 2023, he received a lifetime firearm prohibition after being caught running through a Summerland neighbourhood with a loaded handgun.
