North Westside flooding continues

North Westside firefighters keep busy as high water creates challenges

Rising water levels continue to keep North Westside residents and emergency crews on edge.

Sandbagging was done in Valley of the Sun Tuesday night, but it香蕉视频直播檚 not the only subdivision being impacted by flooding.

Fuelling the flooding are surface and groundwater sources.

In the Valley of the Sun subdivision, the problems have been around Lambert Creek.

And weather patterns are also proving challenging.

There香蕉视频直播檚 been a quick response to flooding in the North Westside Road area by firefighters.

While Tuesday night is generally set aside for practices, North Westside firefighters spent the evening sandbagging.

香蕉视频直播淥ur guys have been out a lot,香蕉视频直播 said Satterthwaite.

Sandbags and sand are available at the main North Westside fire hall Station at 514 Udell Road for any property owner that might be concerned about protecting their property. Contact the department to obtain sandbags at 250-545-1195.

Residents wishing to report new flooding should contact 911 and ask for North Westside Fire Rescue.
